1950-2010 

Richard Maxifield passed away in Littleton, Colorado  February 25, 2010 surrounded by his family.  He was born December 28, 1950 in Mt Pleasant , Utah to Nathan Doyle and Lee Blain Maxfield.  Richard grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Richard graduated from South High School in 1969 and married Konnie Hughes (class of 69)  his South High School sweetheart after he proposed marriage to her on the front steps of South High.  They were going to celebrate 40 years of marriage this year.

He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Kessler Air Force base in Mississippi.  He worked for Mountain Bell/Quest in Utah and Colorado.  He received His Master Of Science Degree and was an adjunct professor at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

Richard loved spending time with his family and riding his Harley.

Survived by his wife Konnie, daughters Karole, Marianne, sons Clint and Anthony, 10 beloved grandchildren, his sisters Vivian, Jo and Debra.

We are fortunate to have had Rich as a husband, father, grandfather and brother.  We will love and miss you always.  

Services were held February 27, 2010 in Denver, Colorado.

I was so saddened to hear about Richard's passing.
I did not know him very well, but I recognized his picture.

My sincere sympathy to his family. This is a very difficult time for you all, but he is in a better place, free of pain, and discomfort.

I hope you know how much he was liked as a member of the South High Class of 1969.

He will be missed.
