Christian Asbjorn Gaarder 1951 ~ 2009 Christian Asbjorn Gaarder, 58, passed away on December 5, 2009 in Sandy, Utah. Chris was born in Salt Lake City and attended college at Brigham Young University. After marriage to Valerie Anderson, he moved to Green River, WY, where he raised his three children while working for Exxon Mobil. After 26 years of marriage Chris and Valerie divorced and he later moved to Sandy, Utah. Chris is survived by his mother Bella Gaarder, brother Ben, daughter Laura Gaarder Furner, sons Andrew and Blake, and his grandchildren Kyra, Sophie and Stuart Furner. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy, where a Visitation will be held prior from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment in Provo City Cemetery.
