Rita Sally Burquez  1951  - 2009

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Rita Sally Burquez, 57, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2009 surrounded by her loving family.  Sally was born August 27, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Eloy and Eufelia Herrera.  Sally is survived by her husband Antonio Burquez, children Tammy (Oscar) Samaniego, Carlos (Mindy)  Marintinez, Rita (Emmanuel) Ramirez, Faith and Daisy Burquez.  She is survived by 13  brothers and sisters, 15 grandchildren and dog Juanito.  All of whom will miss her beautiful smile and contagious laugh dearly.  Sally enjoyed spending time with her children and singing "You are my Sunshine" with all her grandchildren.  She loved to take trips to Wendover, laughing with her sisters.  We know that she will always be around watching over us.  Forever our Sunshine and in our hearts, we are so happy we had the chance to be with her over this last month.  Even though she could not talk back, we knew exactly what she was saying.  As hard as it is for us right now, we can only imagine the great joy and peace she must be experiencing to be back in her moms arms again.  We will love and miss her until we can be together again.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 715 West 300 North in Salt Lake City.  A viewing will be held Thursday evening July 9th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 also at the church.
